I am a regular internet user. At an early age books, movies, television, and the Internet influence how our children think and act in a variety of ways. As children grow these media influences become even more powerful. The media influences on children is not always a good influence and parents need to counteract this influence by discussing and monitoring what their children are exposed to.

i personally think it is good and bad, the computer is a Tool, and we have to use it right. example: a Knife can be used for chopping vegetables, fruits etc and bad thing is stabbing etc

Like all tools, the Internet has a potential to be used for good or evil. It depends on the users motive. The tool itself is neutral. People can use a phone for phone sex, or to call their Mother on her birthday. The Internet is the most fantastic source of information for research, and for porn. A huge amount of Internet use is porn. This says more about us than about the Internet.

Yeah of course it is useful, i mean you can find anything that you need, or want knowledge its all here and so far for the bad stuff, that depends on the person!

Internet can be a very bad influence in the wrong hands.  Children and teens that don’t know better and stupid adults are all subject to being influenced in a bad way.  Of course, not everyone is stupid or young, so when used properly and with caution, internet should not be a bad influence.

we can bust all the host computers containing these things in the United States, but the Internet is a worldwide network. So, the United States government cannot patrol the world or make laws making these things illegal. Coalitions need to be formed worldwide to help in the finding and annihilation of the harmful and obscene material. I think that the easiest way to help fight this problem would be to get the United Nations to form a council that would find these server computers and re-format them and sell them off at a profit and keep the money for the United Nations.

Some people investigated the internet as bad influence expressly to kids. They said that kids learn bad stuff in the internet since they are inquisitive to see what it is all about they will find out some bad things on the net.Others also said that internet is addictive. In my suspicion, it all hang on upon how you use the internet. I have found so many good things on the net. It is very useful to me.Maybe kids should be guided accordingly on how to use the net in a useful way.

The internet can be abused just like anything. It’s all about moderation. Some people get caught up in social networking sites like Facebook and that becomes their life. The same with kinds and texting. I know a person who is addicted to farmville. The internet is a good tool, but use it wisely.

We can only stop this bad influence to share knowledge with everyone…. Its very hard to do this.

Some people considered the internet as bad influence specially to kids. They said that kids learn bad stuff in the internet since they are curious to see what it is all about they will find out some bad things on the net.

Others also said that internet is addictive. In my opinion, it all depends upon how you use the internet. I have found so many good things on the net. It is very helpful to me.

Internet is simply a reflection of the world we live in and a person can find both good and bad on it, depending on what they are looking for.

If a child is drawn to negative influences, it will find it on the Internet or elsewhere. It’s a difficult job for the parents to raise their child in such a way that it learns to seek out and feel good around positive people and positive influences.

In my experience, my career and even my hobby, the Internet has been invaluable. The resources I have found have made my job so much easier, I cannot even calculate it. Also, I use it increasingly for shopping. There are some specialty items I would have no way of getting, if it weren’t for the Internet. Some of those items are very important to my health.

It’s really unfortunate that the Internet is also so full of hackers and spammers. But again, these are negative influences which would have found some other outlet, if we didn’t have the Internet. They are simply reflecting a part of our species which is bent on being destructive.

Obscene and harmful material on the Internet, such as child pornography should be obliterated. Other questionable material, such as the Starr Report, should be published on the Internet, but not within the reach of children. Hacking is a very controversial subject. Most aspects of hacking correspond to doing harm upon other people’s computers. There is material available on the Internet regarding the “how-to’s” of hacking. These aspects of hacking should be extracted from.

I have seen proof that Hannah Montana is a bad influence on young children.

Mainly the fact that after watching Hannah montana and getting the singing doll and all of the different stuff my cousin has started to imitate pole dancing o_0;;

So yes, I have proof that it is a bad influence for children. Y’know, aside from the fact that Miley Cyrus has all those photos on the web.

Anyway, my question is what cartoons or child programmes have you seen that have been an obvious bad influence to a child/children that you know?
