Before the Internet, things like banking, paying bills, and shopping took a long time, and made you leave your home. With the Internet, online banking allows people to check up on their personal finances pretty much 24/7. The fact that online banking can now be combined with bill paying, late payments are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
Online shopping can save time and energy. On line, you can pick outfits from your favorite stores… All you need to be sure of is your size. Online shopping gives more options and an inventory of all items. A shop at the mall has limited space to display all the stuff, but there are no limits on online stores.

A subject that is interesting to think about is addiction to the internet. I definitely think and know it is possible because time seems to fly by when you are surfing the net or chatting to friends and it is a part of many peoples’ lives. I know some people that can’t even communicate as freely with others personally as they do on line. for some people it becomes their world as they can do anything on line.

I think people move in relationships faster online because there is no fear of not being able to say what you actually feel, and you are able to openly express yourself.

Also so many people change themselves online to have a personality that you would like, and those people find out little things about you and incorporate it into who they “are” to make you like them more.

And the fact that you can either lie about your personality is scary, because what if you do meet the person? And then you may never know who you can trust and may not meet real friendly people.

When you turn on folder view for FTP sites, the Internet Explorer client bypasses the Web Proxy and tries to send FTP connection requests directly to the Internet. This operation is unsuccessful.

Okay so the reason I used Limewire was because it would transfer my songs over to my iTunes library automatically (due to some update thingamahjig) and I need something like Limewire, only legal.

he terms Internet and World Wide Web are often used in everyday speech without much distinction. However, the Internet and the World Wide Web are not one and the same. The Internet is a global data communications system. It is a hardware and software infrastructure that provides connectivity between computers. In contrast, the Web is one of the services communicated via the Internet. It is a collection of interconnected documents and other resources, linked by hyperlinks and URLs.[1] The term the Internet, when referring to the Internet, has traditionally been treated as a proper noun and written with an initial capital letter. There is a trend to regard it as a generic term or common noun and thus write it as “the internet”, without the capital.

If you’re like me, you need to be connected to the Internet constantly, on multiple devices, and at the highest speeds possible. Wi-Fi is great for connecting from places like home, work, and local coffee spots. But when I’m on the road, finding usable Wi-Fi hotspots for connecting my wireless devices is a challenge, and I often use (or wish I could use) cellular data service instead.

One of the greatest free-speech advantages the Internet provides is the ability to broadcast material from all over the world to all over the world. It is unlike pamphleteering in that one can disseminate his or her grievances, concerns or other beliefs to a potentially unlimited audience. Indeed, the Supreme Court in Reno v. ACLU (1997), said that, by using the Internet, “any person with a phone line can become a town crier with a voice that resonates farther than it could from any soapbox.”

When I get online with internet explorer it works fine for about 15-20 mins. Then it will out of nowhere just say server not found. Then I have to restart my computer to even get it to pull up a website. I have connection to the internet still because I have other things connected to it so I know its not disconnected.
